African Footprint
In post apartheid South Africa, Richard Loring, the country's foremost producer decided to start a school for black young people interested in the performing arts. The project lead to the creation of African Footprint, a vibrant show combining different forms of African song and dance. Their big break occurred when they had a chance to perform before Nelson Mandela and a global television audience on Robben Island as part of Millennial celebrations. That in turn lead to the creation of South Africa's longest running production.
