North Branford High School Ice Hockey star Brian McKee is this week’s UChoose Student-Athlete of the Week. McKee was voted for 2,572 times out of a total of 6,006 cast in this week’s poll.

The senior put together dominant back-to-back performances last week compiling 10 points in two games Milford and Cheshire. The T-Birds nipped Milford in a 7-5 contest, Monday, where McKee collected four goals and two assists. He scored three more Thursday as North Branford doubled up Cheshire 6-3. The Rams had beaten the T-Birds four times in their previous six meetings.

Host Frankie Graziano interviewed McKee at practice, which you can watch in the above video player. Brian discusses the team’s desire to avenge two consecutive state championship losses and what it is like to play with brother Sean.

Voting was introduced in the CPTV UChoose Student-Athlete of the Week poll in October of 2014. Since that time, over 70 winners have been crowned from 50 different towns. 250,000-plus votes have been cast in that time in support of our student-athletes recognized for their fine play on a weekly basis. Fans may participate in a given poll each Saturday at 6 p.m. until Monday night at 6 p.m.
