FREE AGO Choir Festival “Instruments of Peace” to benefit relief to Ukraine

March 19, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The Waterbury Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (WAGO), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is presenting a Choir Festival at St Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center Street in Meriden, CT on Sunday March 19 at 5pm as a charity benefit for Ukrainian relief. (March 26 snow date).
A choir of 80 adult singers from central CT towns and churches joined by the Avon High School Chorus, will perform at the Festival in Meriden in a program entitled “Instruments of Peace.” St. Rose’s 1910 Hall pipe organ will be heard in the prelude. The concert is free and all are welcome. In conjunction with the Meriden ArtsTrust, Inc., 501(c)(3), the AGO is partnering with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) which supports Ukraine and other places in need around the world. A free will donation will be taken at the concert for them and specifically directed to Ukraine. A representative from CRS will be in attendance and will be presented with a check at the end of the concert. At the WAGO organ and choir concerts throughout the year, a different charity is chosen each time to benefit from the funds raised by a free will offering. Your attendance and help with publicity will increase our ability to support worthy causes in a meaningful way, now and in the future.
