Produced by CPTV and the Connecticut Humanities Council for “The Connecticut Experience” series, this documentary peels away stereotypes to reveal the complex stories behind our country’s Puerto Rican population.

Puerto Rican Passages examines the experiences of Connecticut’s Puerto Rican residents and their migration to the state through archival footage, home movies, photos, music and candid interviews. The documentary focuses on the community’s struggle to work and prosper in Connecticut and the nation.

Accomplished singer Jose Feliciano, a Puerto Rican native, narrates the film. Frank Borres, an award-winning journalist of Puerto Rican descent, serves as writer, producer and director.
