The Kate is CPTV’s national music performance series featuring bold performers with something to say!
Filmed in the intimate setting of the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center here in Connecticut, the series showcases these performers as they provide fascinating interviews, on-stage personal anecdotes, and of course, incredible music.
Now, Season 3 comes to CPTV with new episodes featuring artists who exemplify Ms. Hepburn’s philosophy: “If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!”
These artists include blue-eyed bayou-soul singer Marc Broussard; the band Nancy And Beth, fronted by Megan Mullally (TV’s Will & Grace) and Stephanie Hunt (TV’s Friday Night Lights); stereotype-breakers Black Violin; legendary songwriter and storyteller Jimmy Webb; Broadway stars Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett; and pop phenomenon John Oates.
