Danbury schools will remain closed for in-person learning until at least Thanksgiving break. Hearst Connecticut reports schools were set to open Oct. 26 for hybrid learning but that was postponed because of rising COVID cases. Superintendent Sal Pascarella said with cases “through the roof”, the district will reassess the situation once it’s safe to do so. The city’s positivity rate has been around 9 percent over two weeks and there are currently 40 school community members with COVID.
