The Department of Public Health has released updated recommendations on Monday for the upcoming high schools sports’ winter season. High risks sports like wrestling, boys lacrosse and competitive cheer will be limited to small non-contact drills, while moderate and lower risks sports like basketball, volleyball, and tennis have more leeway but are encouraged to move all activities outside if possible. Out-of-state competitions are discouraged for all sports. In addition, the DPH is recommending all coaches and players use face coverings during the entire duration of their sporting event.
