Goodwin University in East Hartford has gotten approval to take over part of the University of Bridgeport. Goodwin will boost it’s enrollment with over 4,000 new students and acquire most of the university’s real estate. Hearst Connecticut reports the acquisition will be shared with Paier College of Hamden, which will only acquire UB’s graphic and interior design programs. The partnership will rescue the University of Bridgeport’s seaside campus that has been struggling and the changeover will take place on July 1, 2021.
