Gov. Ned Lamont said Wednesday he is worried the pause on administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine may discourage some residents from getting vaccinated. Lamont made the comments at a press conference in Simsbury, saying he let CDC officials know he would have handled the issue differently. “We’ve had a lot of vaccines and a lot of people have gotten vaccinated,” he said. “Now we are trying to get those that are a little more hesitant to get vaccinated and the CDC sent out a signal that was not helpful.” He said right now the state continues to receive enough vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer for those who want to make an appointment.
