New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker has named assistant police chief Renee Dominguez as interim chief to lead the city’s department after the departure of Chief Otoniel Reyes. Dominguez has been with the Police Department since 2002 and has held several titles including the head of the Family Services Division. Dominguez is expected to serve a year, through the end of the chief’s term.
