Vermont is the latest New England state to make it on Connecticut’s travel advisory list. Hearst Connecticut reports the list initially started with 8 states and now only exempts New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Hawaii. Travelers from states on the advisory list may be subject to $1,000 fines if they fail to comply with regulations. In the latest update on Tuesday, Connecticut reports 1,702 new coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 5.16 percent. Meanwhile, 12 more COVID -19 related deaths were reported while hospitalizations statewide increased by 20. New Haven County reports almost 300 hospitalizations with Fairfield County following at 231.
