23rd Annual Empty Bowls
October 21 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Join Expressions Pottery Workshop and the Friend to Friend Food Pantry for the 23rd Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on Saturday, October 21st, 11:30am-1:30pm at the East Granby Community/Senior Center,
7 Memorial Drive. All proceeds benefit the Friend to Friend Food Pantry which provides food to pre-qualified East Granby residents and families in need.
This year we are serving delicious soup prepared onsite by Private Chef Jay Welch. This farm-to-table themed fundraiser includes new touches in addition to the favorite traditions of our yearly event:
NEW! Arrive earlier for a 10:00 am narrated plant tour of Doreen’s Nature Trail with Traprock Ridge Conservancy, formerly EG Land Trust. (Gather in the EG Community/Senior Center parking lot.)
Festivities begin indoors at 11:30 at the EG Community/Senior Center. Choose your hand-potted bowl, enjoy delicious soups prepared with Sub Edge farm-to-table ingredients, browse the Pop-Up Farm Shop, enjoy live music by Bill and friends and don’t forget to snap a picture of the QR code link to the Empty Bowls Soup Recipe Cookbook.
Take a stroll (or drive) to Expressions Pottery Workshop to peruse the handmade pottery, enter the FREE raffle to win a $50 Expressions Gift Card, purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win a fresh holiday turkey from Sub Edge Farm (proceeds to pantry), indulge in a sweet treat and pick up a complimentary pumpkin (courtesy of Peter L. Brown Company) before you leave!
The Friend to Friend Thrift Shop will also be open for your treasure-hunting pleasure
from 9:00am to 3:00 pm at 32 Spoonville Road in East Granby.
