A Chance to Shine 2024: BHcare Annual Fundraising Event

June 1 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

A Chance to Shine is an annual event to benefit all BHcare programs: The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, Hope Family Justice Center, Parent Child Resource Center, Alliance for Prevention and Wellness, BHcare’s mental health and substance use services.

The funds raised will help the more than 12,500 children, adults, and families in your community as they strive to recover from mental illness, substance use, domestic violence and other health-risk behaviors. Additionally, this event raises awareness for BHcare’s lifesaving programs and celebrates the amazing communities we serve in the Greater New Haven area from the Shoreline to the Valley.

The morning will kick off at 10:00 am with A Walk to Remember Lori Jackson and those who may have lost their lives too or are survivors of domestic violence, mental health issues or substance use. The day will feature live music by Morgan Skelly and the Old Crows inflatables, touch-a-truck, face painting, lawn games, raffles, and more! At noon, a kids’ bike parade around the Quarry Walk Green will be led by Joe Furey, Co-Chief Meteorologist at WTNH News 8 with free helmets for those who pre-register for the event. There is something for everyone including all the wonderful shops and dining options located throughout the beautiful setting of Quarry Walk.

Again, this year we will feature an online auction where you can bid on tickets to professional sporting events, vacation homes, golf foursomes, wine tastings, restaurant certificates and more while supporting BHcare. The online auction runs from May 19 – June 2. Register to bid at givebutter.com/c/ACTS2024/auction.

Bring the family, and your four-legged friends, and help us raise funds and awareness for BHcare.
