Evelina Puzaite – Classical Piano in The Movies

Evelina Puzaite is originally from Lithuania and started her studies at the M. K. Ciurlionis School of Art in Vilnius. Following several years studying piano at the Guildhall School in London, she is now a resident of Greenwich, CT.

She has won many international piano competitions and played solo at venues around the world, from the Wigmore Hall in London and The Rudolfinum in Prague to The Chicago Cultural Center and Carnegie Hall.

Combining her love of classical music and the silver screen, Evelina has curated a program of pieces, in some cases written hundreds of years before the films were made, that bring the movies to life.

The concert includes music from a range of composers from Bach and Beethoven to Liszt and Debussy and more. A wide variety of composers whose works are now sometimes more well known for the movies in which they appeared. What would the artists make of that?
