Hartford Voter Registration Celebration

The Connecticut Democracy Center invites Hartford residents to a Voter Registration Celebration on Tuesday, September 19 at Connecticut’s Old State House from 12 – 4:00 pm. Come register to vote or check your voting status and admission to Connecticut’s Old State House if FREE. Enjoy live music with I Guru and a discussion with Tanya Rhodes Smith of the Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work and Kristen Clark of the Governor’s Task Force on Justice For Abused Children and Public Policy and Advocacy. Friends from YWCA Hartford Region will lead a ballot coffee break to discuss how Hartford government works, why local elections matter, and provide a breakdown of what will be on the ballot this November. This event is part of The Connecticut Democracy Center’s “Go Big. Vote Local” series which is made possible with support from Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
