Holocaust Remembrance: Stories of the French Christian Resistance

Join Yale professor Kathleen Burton, author of The Nazi Religion and the Rise of the French Christian Resistance, as she shares the untold stories of how ¾ of the French Jews survived the war due to the efforts of the French Christian Resistance.

About the presenter: Kathleen Burton has taught in the French department at Yale University since 2007. She has a PhD in theology from L’Université Laval in Québec, an MA in French from Central Connecticut State University, and a BA in political science from University of California, Los Angeles. She has studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Bordeaux.

Recently retired, Dr. Burton has been on a speaking tour taking her to The American Academy of Religion conference last November and to The European Academy of Religion conference in Scotland this last summer, among other stops.
