LEAHY, the acclaimed powerhouse Celtic music group and one of Canada’s renowned musical families, is coming to Old Saybrook, CT on Thursday, March 14, 2024, to captivate you with a lively performance at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center (The Kate).
LEAHY’s trademark sound is a warm harmonious blend of traditional Celtic roots music with elements of pop, country, choral, rock, classical and jazz. Their music features passionate vocals, brilliant fiddles and accordion, stride piano, rhythm and electric guitar, drums, and bass.
The ensemble of multi-instrumentalists, singers and songwriters is widely recognized for their sound and musicianship. LEAHY has received numerous awards and accolades, including three Juno Awards, which is Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys. They opened for Shania Twain on her record-breaking Come On Over world tour – but it’s LEAHY’s live show that continues to set them apart.
