Mayor Joe Carfora of East Haven was released Tuesday after spending the weekend in the hospital due to COVID-19. Hearst Connecticut reports Carfora received his positive test result on Thanksgiving day and said he had a new respect for the virus after this experience. He is now urging people now more than ever to follow CDC guidelines.
