Gov. Ned Lamont has announced the state’s approval of the new Moderna vaccine. Connecticut is expected to receive more than 60,000 doses of the new medicine this week, in addition to nearly 25,000 additional doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Meanwhile, both of Connecticut’s U.S. Senators have received the vaccine. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy say they were advised to get it by the Captol’s attending physician.
